Steampunk style is an important part of any Steampunk event! Many people make their own outrageous costumes, taking inspiration from historical clothing and adding a creative twist.
Features include cogs, bits of machinery and old-fashioned fastenings & designs. Often, people reuse or recycle part of their costumes from old clothing or things they found around the house.
We invite you to make your own fancy Steampunk inspired hat to wear to our event! Come along to our event to show off your homemade hat, take part in a parade to show off your head piece and be in with a chance to win a prize!
If you’d like some help making your hat, come along to one of our free craft workshops, where our crafty team will help you make your own Steampunk inspired hat out of recycled materials.
Parade participants will need to arrive at our meeting point by Bru Cafe on Ly2 at 1:45pm.
Parade is anticipated to last approximately 30 minutes.
Please note, the parade will only be on and around Lyceum Square. Children MUST be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
